Fill the tummies

In India, it is a common sight to see stray animals wandering aimlessly on the streets. These animals rely on the public’s generosity for their survival, often scavenging for scraps from passersby, restaurants, and other sources. However, amidst the pandemic in March 2020, our team decided to take action.

As the lockdown forced hundreds of cafes, restaurants, bakeries, shops, and other establishments to shut down, we recognized the dire situation that these animals were facing. We began feeding 120-150 dogs ourselves, but we didn’t stop there. We also started distributing dog food to community feeders and pet owners who had lost their jobs and were struggling to provide for their furry companions.

Today, we continue to feed over a hundred animals every day, including cats, dogs, cows, and bulls. Our mission is to ensure that these animals receive the care and nourishment they need to survive, even in the toughest of times.

Join us in our efforts to make a difference in the lives of these vulnerable animals. Together, we can create a brighter future for them and for our communities.

Appreciating Shashi Aunty

Life always amazes us by letting us meet wonderful people who are brave, courageous and full of positivity. Life is challenging for her being a widow, but for her it gets more complicated as she is an animal lover and does whatever it takes to help the less fortunate sentient beings.

For more than a decade she has been feeding and nurturing hundreds of street animals in the areas where she is the only hope for the animals to have something in their bellies.

She might not be able to read or write, but she holds higher values and ethics than many.  You can visit her Facebook profile below. You can also check out a video about her on video by blogger Plukit.
